Information: Shalom, My name is Jody Emra and I am a Managing Broker here at Windermere Real Estate in Colville Washington. I have been working for Windermere Colville since the beginning of my Real Estate career in 1999, making me the oldest person here; and I am fondly referred to as the off-grid specialist.

I was raised in California in the coastal area north of San Francisco. At that time, our town consisted of 1 block of main street with a rail road track going right down the middle of Main Street, connecting the three local apple canneries. It was a very small and rural area, predominated by apple orchards. Thanks to my father’s “gypsy” blood we moved frequently giving me an appreciation for different areas and their diverse natural attractions. On summer break, I spent some time on the beaches of Vashon Island and grew to love Washington State. Freshly out of high school I moved to England for a couple of years, and then on to BC. What a culture shock for a “California girl”. I learned to appreciate what our country and freedom provides for us here in the US. As an adult, my husband and I, with our two sons moved to gorgeous Colorado. We moved in March to find mountains of snow. We lived our first winter in a converted school bus (used to be the tour bus for the band America) Our bus was literally buried in snow! That was the beginning of a lifestyle change that has continued to this day. I have lived off-grid now for nearly 30 years. We raised both of our sons living off the grid, most of the time in a one room A-frame with a sleeping loft. We purchased our property here while still in Colorado, after exhaustive research into the area through Mother Earth News. We moved here in 1996 to find one of the worst snow years they had had here in decades. We felt right at home!

I started my Real Estate career in 1999 and served for several years as the representative of our office on the MLS committee. I was Education chairperson for a couple of years, and I have had the distinction of earning top producer awards. I am a Certified Negotiation Expert, and the President elect for the North East Washington Association of Realtors.
I strive to serve my clients with honesty and consideration, usually gaining not only their trust but also their friendship. Let me put my experience to work for you.
